Competitive Gaming Roots
Long before the code career took shape, I was deep in the competitive gaming scene. That world taught me how to read a situation fast, adapt on the fly, and perform under pressure — skills that translated directly into everything I build today.
Counter-Strike — Competitive Veteran
I've been in Counter-Strike since it was on CD-ROM. Joined the Beta back in late 1999 and never fully left. My competitive run took me through some of the most respected organized leagues of the era — CAL-Open, CAL-Intermediate, CAL-Main, and CAL-Invite — along with OGL seasons and occasional fill-in rings for CPL matches as a backup/substitute player.
I walked away from a fair number of cash tournaments over the years. My role was usually entry fragger — the guy who goes in first, sets the pace, and makes life difficult for the other team. Known for being unpredictable: changing up angles, swapping tactics mid-round, and just being generally chaotic in a way that was hard to read. Racked up frags consistently and kept opponents off-balance. If you've played against me, you know.
World of Warcraft — Raid Progression
WoW was another chapter entirely. I was neck-deep in raid progression — tight coordination, studying boss mechanics, optimizing rotations, and being the reliable piece that showed up prepared. If you've ever been in a serious raiding guild, you know it's no different from team sports. It demands consistency, communication, and a level of commitment most people underestimate. I've got plenty of that.
Streaming & Content Creation
My history with streaming and content creation predates most people's awareness of it as a career path. I've been building audiences online since the early days of live video on the internet — back when it was raw, unpolished, and completely wild.
Was streaming on JustinTV back when live broadcasting to a general audience was brand new. Part of the first wave of content creators figuring it out in real time — no playbook, no roadmap. Just go live and build.
Spent significant time as a Twitch Partner during the platform's earlier years — well before streaming became mainstream. Built a real community, ran consistent programming, and did the full content creator grind. Retired from active streaming long ago but that experience shapes how I think about community, engagement, and platform operations.
Verified on Kick. Retired from streaming — the account stands, the grind doesn't.
